Trauma-Informed Birthwork

This course has been adding value since it’s launch in 2020. The tiles below show some of the feedback it has received to date.

Let's explore the impact of perinatal trauma together. We'll build upon what you already know about birth and trauma (whether it's new to you or not) to help you reflect on what it means to be trauma-informed. So you can feel more confident, support your clients and protect yourself. (You’ll also get a bunch of resources to use with your clients.)

Level 1 £111

Level 2 £88

Level 3 £55

For midwives, doulas, antenatal teachers, hypnobirthing teachers, and anyone working in or aspiring to be in the perinatal space. It is a live course that requires participation (because we generally learn best that way, but, of course, I’m happy to accommodate in ways that make you feel comfortable).

At the moment, I’m running these maybe two or three times a year, usually when I’ve been approached by an individual or group who wants it. So if you don’t see a booking link or suitable dates for you, then please get in touch and we can work on making it happen.

Nervous System Card Sort Workshop £10

This workshop was borne out of Trauma Informed Birthwork, because I mention the nervous system, and my card sort, in there. I love sharing my resources, and this workshop gives me the opportunity to share my rationale, and gives you the opportunity to explore how you might use it and to discuss together the benefits and challenges.

Again if you don’t see any dates that work for you, get in touch.

Birthworker Support Call £45

As birth workers, we can get frustrated, annoyed and even traumatised by the work we do. You came into the birth world to make a difference, and you are, but sometimes a client is unlucky or is cheated of their birth by the system, and you are left with feelings you want to offload. Let's chat and I will help you make sense of things, or support you with how to help your client or what to do next.

I can also support you with how to approach or teach something in particular, whether that is trauma-related or not, when you are planning your antenatal sessions.

Trauma Talk

You can also listen to my voice, on my very modest podcast, which hopefully will have more episodes at some point soon. (Click on that pink tile to the left.)
